Lakhta Center, the tallest skyscraper in Europe and the northernmost high-rise building in the world, is located in St. Petersburg on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. It will accommodate Gazprom's headquarters and public spaces.

The scaffolding delivery design is the so-called ‘Bird Cage’. The scaffolding was used by Stroyetika LLC to install equipment in a multifunctional transformer concert hall, which allows to change the shape of the stage, the arrangement of seats, lighting and to transform into two small halls.

The top floor of the scaffolding had a continuous working platform completely covered with decking - the so-called ‘Dance Floor’ - which provided full access to the entire ceiling surface of the concert hall.

Due to the diagonal load-bearing braces, which can withstand both compression and tension, it was possible to construct the upper platform using cantilever-bridge crossings, thus significantly reducing material consumption and ensuring free working space at the zero elevation of the hall.

OUR ADVANTAGES:

  • High load-bearing capacity of the elements allows for a ‘feathery’ and efficient scaffolding structure to be assembled

  • Easy feeding of elements into confined spaces due to high modularity and interchangeability of all elements with each other

  • The engineering department of SOYUZ Scaffolding Plant will develop a detailed 3D design in exact accordance with the technical specifications
