Ship repair at Onego Shipyard JSC

Description

Onego Shipyard JSC is a shipyard founded in 2002 in Petrozavodsk on the basis of ship repair facilities of Belomor-Onego Shipping Company established in 1944 in the Russian Federation. During the active period the upgraded shipyard built 18 large-capacity vessels for various purposes, including those using foreign experience and technology.

SOYUZ scaffolding was used to install the propellers of the crab boat and to safely paint when working at height.

The main challenge was to ensure that scaffolding was mobile, quickly assembled, and safely accessible to the vessel.

Due to the high modularity of scaffolding and 0.25 meters pitch, it was possible to closely follow the vessel's hull outlines and provide comfortable and safe workplaces for welding and painting.
