Installation of a unique media facade for Lakhta Center Project

Description

Lakhta Center is a multifunctional complex in St. Petersburg with Gazprom Group headquarters and public spaces occupying about one third of the space.

A scaffolding set was supplied for the construction of facade structures, which consist of 15,000 LED lamellae arranged in confined spaces. The work was done by Imlight Showtechnique LLC.

The engineering solution was developed by the engineering department of SOYUZ Scaffolding Plant, which took into account the extremely limited possibilities of attaching scaffolding to the media facade. Due to the high rigidity of scaffolding joints, it was possible to design a structure with minimal attachment points and high rigidity at the same time.

High rigidity (integrity) of the scaffolding was necessary because of the expensive media facade, which must be handled with special care.
