Description

Standard is the main vertical load-bearing element of the scaffolding transferring loads to the base. Made from steel pipe with welded rosettes (500 mm spacing), which act as connection points for horizontal and diagonal elements using wedge connections. The pipe length determines the nominal size of the standard.

The SmartScaff system features two types of standards: those with one-piece molded spigot and those without. Standards without spigot can be used for support scaffolding, when a cross forkhead or base plate jack is required. These standards can be easily adapted using a removable, bolted spigot. However, our most popular option are standards with one-piece molded spigot, which are made from a single continuous steel pipe for maximum strength.

Advantages:

• The rosettes have a profiled shape protecting the standard from arbitrary movement or falling, ensuring safety at height, and also minimizing the stored volume by 5% compared to round shaped standard rosettes.

• Up to 8 horizontal scaffolding elements can be installed in each rosette, located every 0.5 m along the standard length: four small holes automatically align them at right angles in two planes, and four large holes — at any necessary angle.

• As each point (standard rosette) may be used to connect up to 8 elements, it results in central redistribution of forces whereby optimizing the performance of scaffolding structure and facilitates build-up of computational models in software suites.

• Rosette holes have smooth curvature radii to reduce stress concentrations and improve operational reliability of the entire structure.

• The one-piece molded spigot decreases standard weight, improves joint efficiency of the standards connected to each other, enhances the standard useful area used for coupler installation, as well as makes it possible to use the standard in all and any scaffolding, including suspended ones.

• The main elements of the scaffolding (standards, ledgers, diagonal braces, lattice girders, cantilever brackets, etc.) are made of 48 mm diameter pipe, which allows unlimited connection of scaffolding elements to each other at any point using classic swivel and fixed couplers, without special additional parts.
