This is the most versatile scaffolding support element for transferring vertical loads from the scaffolding standards to a horizontal base. It also helps align the base level of the scaffolding in the horizontal plane. Jack height adjustment span and bearing capacity vary with its type.
In specific cases, adjustable base plate jacks are used to brace the scaffolding against vertical surfaces to ensure stability. Such thrusting elements made with jacks are known as "push-anchor". A base plate jack with a swivelling plate is used to erect scaffolding on slanting surfaces.
Round rolled self-cleaning thread ensures fast height adjustment and reliable operation as the thread gets contaminated with construction debris, concrete and other fouling.
The maximum jack screw-out height is limited by a special crimp (interruption) in the screw thread.
Color-coding helps determine the maximum screw-out height of the jack's handle. When the limiter is reached, a bright color becomes visible: red for a jack with a 0.5 m screw length, and blue for a jack with a 0.8 m screw length.
The small size (length) of the handle, corresponding to the dimensions of the jack's base plate, allows you to adjust its height even when installed close to a wall or other enclosing structures.
The jack's base plate has four 12 mm diameter holes, which are necessary for attaching to the base or for attaching wooden pads to the jack when used as a push-anchor.
Compatibility with European equivalents.
