General description
A widespread type or part of scaffolding. It significantly increases the flexibility and ease of use of the scaffolding structure as a whole.
The сantilever brackets (balconies) themselves can be either ready-made welded elements (usually with a span of up to 1 m) or prefabricated ones, which consist of individual scaffolding elements (ledgers, diagonal braces, lattice girders, and others).
The overhang of the cantilever part can reach 10 meters or more, and it is necessary to carefully check the cantilever section for correct installation and the loads that are placed on it.
A critical factor on cantilever scaffolding can be both the diagonal brace, which works for tension or compression, as well as the overturning moment, as well as many other factors that are taken into account when designing large cantilever spans.
The cantilever parts of the scaffolding help to significantly save on installation and additional elements of the scaffolding, since the local cantilever section can be mounted at any height and quickly provide a working or storage area.
