Self-supporting tower

This is a special scaffolding type without fastening to a wall or other fixed structures—for example, scaffolding for reinforcement and concreting, scaffolding along a glass facade, scaffolding at outdoor sites, and in many other situations. For such cases, it is typical to take the following measures for ensuring the structural stability of scaffolding: outriggers (extensions made of standard scaffold members), ballast/counterweight, and braces/guys. For such scaffolding structures, it is of particular importance to be able to ensure behaviour of a pole connection assembly (connecting the poles between one another) in tension because due to an impact of wind loads one side of scaffolding is compressed while the other one is tensioned. The «SOYUZ» pole connection assembly is capable of withstanding a tensile force up to 5 (!) tonnes. It is easy to arrange ballast on reinforced girders or trusses due to an increased load-carrying capacity of these members. It is easy to fasten braces using flanges (sockets) as they have high rigidity and user-friendly shapes. All above aspects allow fast and safe use of self-supporting «SOYUZ» SmartScaff series scaffolding.
